I own a cutting Company and built up my business with the Husky 350 range. I also use Stihl which have been going for over 30 years with the same blades in some cases too. The 350 Husky worked well for 12 months then the bolts shot out followed by the over loud muffler. Body bolts are easily replaced. Unfortunately the muffler is not easily replaced. I have had several repairs on The 350 costing over 200 quid not to mention the aggravation of not having power tools saws to operate with. The repairs have never been successful for long 30 minutes tops. I have noticed that subsequent Huskies now have a muffler bracket to hold the muffler on.
Unfortunately for me I bought the prototype and feel ripped off. Initially The 350 started easily and had great power to weight ratio, and was lighter than other saws I own. Five years later power tools saws like this one should still be working, and the 350 starts quickly and idled ok but with the poor construction of the model it recieves a lot of negative feedback from my workers. Stihl saws although much more expensive are well worth it in the long run. This model is inadequate over a long period of time and so Id go for a Stihl chain saw anyday.
